Apart from the main kitchen, which was located in the cellar vaults underneath the Swiss Wing, there were several smaller kitchens, called “Mundküche”, located at different places throughout the Imperial Palace. In these kitchens small snacks and delicacies were prepared for the members of the imperial family. We continue this tradition at the Café Hofburg. So come to our café and have a snack according to the old Habsburg tradition.
