Coffeehouse in the Imperial Palace

From the 13th century the Habsburg dynasty resided in the Imperial Palace, and until 1918 this was the centre of power of the Empire. Habsburg monarchs such as Charles VI, his daughter Maria Theresa, Joseph II and Emperor Franz Joseph I and his beautiful wife Sisi lived in the palace.

By the way Sisi: the Café Hofburg is located right next to the entrance of the Sisi Museum and the Imperial Apartments.  So the Café Hofburg is the ideal place to relax and have a snack before or after a visit to the Imperial Palace.

The terrace of Café Hofburg is absolutely amazing: it is located right in the inner courtyard of the Imperial Palace. Who settles down on our terrace has the unique chance to contemplate 600 years of Habsburg history while having a piece of cake and a cup of coffee.
